Inputting Attendance in CAMS - Online

Step 1:
Navigate to CAMS Faculty Portal

Step 2:
Insert Username and Password

Step 3:
Ensure that the correct Term is selected


Step 4:
Select the box next to "I have read and accept the FERPA statement."


Step 5:
Click "Login"


Step 6:
After logging in, please select "Course Management" in the top bar, then select "My Courses".


Step 7:
In the list of classes shown, please select the course you would like to enter attendance for by clicking the blue Course ID on the left side.


Step 8:
On the left side of the screen, scroll down until you see "Attendance Entry". Then click it.


Step 9:
Since this is an online class there is no designated "Attendance Date". Ensure that you input at date from that week in which you are taking attendance for.
 Then select "Load Daily Attendance"
(Disregard "Schedule". Since this is an online class, it will be blank)


Step 10:
On the top of the next screen, in the field labeled 'Sched Hrs" input the amount of credit hours your class is.
(If your course is worth 3 credit hours, input 3.)


Step 11:
In the field "Time From" and "Time to" ensure that you enter in values that will equal to the number you inputted for "Sched Hrs".
(Ex. If you inputted 3 for "Sched Hrs" you can put 2:00 PM for "Time From" and 5:00 PM for "Time To". This will equal a total of 3 hours.)


Step 12:
Do not be alarmed by the red error box. This will appear since you do not have a designated day that your class meets.


Step 13:
After clicking "Load Daily Attendance", you will be greeted with you class roster. In the "Status" field you will need to select the drop down and mark the status of the student for that specific day you inputted on the previous screen.


Step 14:
After updating the "Status" field, you will now need to enter in the "Hours". The "Hours" field will need to match the "Sched Hrs" field shown in step 10.


Step 15:
Once you are finished inputting the "Hours" for each student, you will select "Save Daily Attendance" on the bottom of the screen.
