How to Confirm Grades In Student First


Step 1:

Click “Academics” then “Grade Processing” in the left-hand side menu


Step 2:

Search for the course you want to confirm the final grades for. In this example we are confirming the grades for the course IT 415.

Step 3:

To get to the following screen please ensure you are in the Correct tab at the top (Final Grades or Midterm Grades). When grades are brought over automatically, it will look like the following, and display the students and their numeric and letter grades. Confirm these are the expected grades, or adjust grades as needed, then click the “apply” button for each student’s grade.


Step 4:

If the grades are incorrect or not what is expected, hit cancel and you can manually adjust them. It will look like the below screenshot.

FAQs

What happens if I entered my grades in already, then another sync starts?

Your grades will not be affected when another sync occurs.

 

Can I change grades that I have already applied?

Yes, you can go in and change the grades for your course if it is before the grade lock date set by the Registrars' office.

 

Why do I not see the decimal points when my grades come over from Canvas?

The decimal point appears to not be there when it is in the column that you either click "apply" or "cancel" but once the grade is applied, the decimal point will be visible.
