Step 5:
In the Import/Download window, click the box next to all of your current courses for which you wish to set up the CU Front Page Template. Note: if you want to import the template to all of your courses at once, click All.
Step 6:
Click the blue Import into Course button. The CU Front Page Template will now automatically download to the courses you selected. You should see a green bar that states, “You have successfully started the import! It may take a while to see changes in your course.”
Step 7:
Navigate back to the course that you are working on by clicking either on the Dashboard icon and choosing the specific course, or, by clicking the Courses icon and clicking on the appropriate course in the popup menu. Both of these icons are located on the vertical menu on the left side of your browser window. Proceed to the next step to set this page as your front page in each course if it doesn’t automatically appear when you enter the course.
Step 8:
Below you will see an example of a Canvas course page with no information added. In order to make sure that your students see the CU front page template when clicking on your course, you will need to set the Home Page for the course.
Step 9:
After importing the front page template, you will need to set it as the front page. Click on Pages on the left side of the screen. You will see a list of all pages appear.
Step 10:
Click on "View All Pages"
Step 11:
Click on the three dots to the right of the page you would like to make the homepage.
Step 12:
Select "Use as Front Page" from the drop down menu
Step 13:
You will know if this is done correctly when you see "Front Page" under the title of the page
Step 14:
Navigate to the "Home" tab of the course
Step 15:
In the right menu select, "Choose Home Page"
Step 16:
In the pop up menu select, "Pages Front Page"
Step 17:
Select "Save"
Step 18:
You can now select "Edit" at the top of the screen to change the information inside of the page to be correct.
Step 19:
Once you are done editing, select "Save" at the bottom of the screen
